About SNF
Stichting Nyenrode Fonds (or Nyenrode Fund in English) originated from the Dr.E.B.J.Postma Chair of Entrepreneurship, named after the celebrated rector of Nyenrode from 1950 to 1980. The Fund is run by alumni with the aim of collecting funds to assist students and our University.
The present CEO and Rector Magnificus Dr. Maurits van Rooijen is one of our Board Members and since 2010 alumnus Frank van Wezel (19580108) has been Chairman of the Board.
Erik Wuite, employed at Nyenrode since 1999, has recently been appointed as Executive Director of the Fund which operates in close cooperation with Nyenrode Business Universiteit.
In 2010 alumnus Piero Overmars (19820097), formerly executive board member of ABN AMRO Bank was appointed President of the Stichting Nyenrode.
A year earlier, in 2009, Maurits van Rooijen was appointed as a Rector Magnificus of the Nyenrode Business Universiteit and acts as full time CEO and is resident on campus. From 1993 onwards, before joining Nyenrode, he worked mainly abroad, including several years as a vice president of the University of Westminster. He brings to Nyenrode a strong expertise in and commitment to international activities. Moreover, he wholeheartedly supports the innovative nature of Nyenrode’s educational philosophy.
Income
We achieve income through scholarship sponsors and groups of donors, consisting mainly of alumni and national and international business entities.
Costs
Our income is spent mainly on awarding scholarships and contributing to the requirements of the Universiteit and of NCV-students with regard to their various projects.
Result
In 2010 the endowment fund grew from 1.2 million Euros to 1.7 million Euros.
